THE CHAMP "TREBOOST PLUS" STOMP BOX - TYPE 5 

(2009)



Hi everybody, June 2009 is where we are at and here is the latest addition to my now famous "Champ Treboost Plus" amp-top boxes family........This time a stomp-box version, named as a Type 5. It utilizes three transistors, four filter caps, and it absolutely sings!!

Looks pretty cool.......very solid, & sings like hell!






The making of the triple-transistor rotary switch. The OC45 & OC71 are of course original NOS Mullard. The "metal-jacket" OC44 is a military-spec rated Mullard too.

The usual marking-out & drilling.






Pretty tight fit but I got it all in, and I'm very pleased with the result.












Ready to close the box.






My units are really plain & simple yet.......all my customers love this. They even specifically request the use of the simple yellow labels.......wicked!!

"Hi John. Sorry for taking a while to get back to you. I’ve been away at a festival all weekend and I am just about recovering now!

As you know from speaking to my wife, the pedal turned up here just fine. I had a quick chance to have a blast on it before I left for the festival and I’m very impressed. I have quite a few different boosters and yours is the definitely the best of the bunch alongside my DAM Red Rooster. I love the option of being able to switch between the 3 transistors and your general build quality is top notch. I can’t wait to get down to a rehearsal studio and really open up my Orange head and properly put the Treboost through its paces.
