DESIGNED AND ORIGINALLY DRAWN BY JOHN CHAMBERS

(With many thanks to Giulio Maiocco of Italy for re-drawing these diagrams.)

A. PRE-AMP DIAGRAM 1:

****PLEASE NOTE**** Like many other designers ,I am always striving for improvements. When I designed this amp, the pre-amp section has an immense amount of gain. This was done mainly with guitarists in mind for that “front-end overdriven sound”.

However this may not be everybody’s requirements so......... if you find you have too much gain, simply change the ECC83 for an ECC82, I have done this on some of my amps when necessary and this does the job perfectly, without any change of quality within the tone circuit itself!

B. PRE-AMP DIAGRAM 2:

C. POWER AMP & DRIVE:

D. POWER SUPPLY:

****PLEASE NOTE three errors on the power supply schematic. The T,1 amp fuse on the top-end, 2,500 volt rail should be F,1 amp. Also the 6.3 volt winding should be 4 amp, not 2 amp as stated. Finally, the 4,700uf capacitor on this same DC end of the 6.3 volts for the heaters was changed to a 10,000uf @ 10 volts. ****
