Belonging to a regular customer, Jerry, who lives a
long way south of Nottingham, happened to be up here on guitar business
and had dropped in to see if I could sort out a
“frying” on his little baby?
Bit of an “overkill” on the speaker cable here!
This one had had numerous components
already changed in the past, using PCB (radial) components, which I
don’t think “look the part”. Nevertheless
they still work. I found the crackle virtually straight away: the 56k
plate resistor on the HT side of the splitter was noisy. I changed the
100k next to it too whilst I was there. Job sorted!
