Hi
there! Apart from Vox and Selmer, the most other seen amps through the
workshop are
Marshalls. It is very rare that a Marshall comes in with a special or
interesting story about it. They all seem to be for general service,
small silly faults, or physical damage.
It goes with out saying that all the Marshall products are very good
and of course……British Made…….Yes!!!
I am not a big fan of circuit boards in tube (valve) amps, but we have to live with this nowadays.
Marshall of course have adopted this trend some years back, but I suppose they had to move on with the
times. Having said that, you can’t beat the “good old”, hand-wired, hand-built Marshall’s of
yesteryear. I love them to bits!
I have, for your pleasure, included in this article six typical
Marshall amps that
one would expect to see around
these days, and in a workshop from time-to-time for general service
etc. I have also made any interesting comments on some of the photo
captions.
Do enjoy the article and photos.
Cheers dudes, John.
