Though I've never been a big fan of the use of many “fly-leads” & “crimp-on” plugs & sockets, these amps nevertheless are good.

This amp was brought into the workshop for a “channel dropping in volume” problem, which did indeed turn out to be a bad plug connection.

Like most PCB based amps, much has to come out for fault finding!

All back together & doing the 100 watts from an octet of Sovtek EL84’s!

The fan which, when the top panel is in place makes a “tunnelling effect” for keeping the 8 output bottles cool……A very sensible addition with the EL84’s having around 400 volts on the plate. This is needed to get the 25 watts from a pair!
