CHAMP ELECTRONICS -" THE VINTAGE VALVE AMP HOSPITAL"

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND

REPAIR OF A SOUND CITY 50 PA PLUS AMPLIFIER

Note the “non-original” reverb control (yellow knob) & the footswitch jack for same, also drilled “out of line"!

Mounted on the rear of the front panel, the “non-original” reverb tank. This had been glued with Araldite on one end & had fallen off!! I changed this for a nut & bolt with rubber grommets to dampen the whole thing.

Under-chassis prior to any work commencement. Also, even though not a “close-up” photo; swelling of the three electrolytic capacitors can be clearly seen here too.

The added “non-original” transistor board for the reverb send & return.
