REPAIR OF A SOUND CITY CONCORD COMBO AMPLIFIER

Not sure about this being the original front-fret?

The front panel removed & “flipped over” to gain access.

Someone had changed one of the channel two’s input jacks for a stereo type & wired this as a reverb foot-switch socket, not originally fitted on this model.

Many “fly-leads”; not one of my favourite Sound City’s!

The two resistors bypassing the broken (open circuit) treble pot.

New input jack fitted, back to original now.

The stupidly chopped wires of the 4 & 16 ohm windings can be clearly seen here!

Finished, oddly enough all the smoothing caps on this one were fine.

Showing the reverb tank; mounted in foam on the rear of the bottom back panel.

At the request of the customer, I fitted a rear mounted reverb foot-switch socket in an unused hole.

Completely finished, just the back panels now.
